Southwest District

Southwest District
Southwest District Director, Olga DeLuna has been serving for the past four years and is pleased to see what God is doing among the young girls she serves. Within the Southwest District there are about 70 churches and it is still growing, to God be all the glory!

For Girls Ministries to be effective, leader training is implemented with open hearts for service to our young girls' spiritual growth in Christ. We have trained hundreds of new leaders and many more to come.

Celebration Services are held district-wide which include an evangelistic service to minister not only to the girls but to their families and friends who may be attending church for the first time. In addition to this it is a time to recognize the girls for their accomplishments along with our 10 Honor Coordinators and 2 Honor Daisies Sponsors from Phoenix, Yuma. We also had 70 graduates from Rainbows through Girls Only.

Fun Day is a time for relationships to be built with fellowship and activities for sponsors and the girls. Not to mention the yearly sleepover that is geared towards our missions project where the girls learn to appreciate what they have and to understand some hardships children of their own age encounter in another part of the world.

Which now flows to the end-of-the-year camp for our girls, sponsors, and coordinators whom all work hard in unity to raise money for those who aren't able to afford to attend the camp. This brings much delight to the girls to know they have worked for a great cause. During camp the girls are bond once again with those they had met earlier during the year and their relationship grows stronger with Christ because of the encouragement they give one another.

We look forward to what God has in store for us and we continually desire more of His presence in our lives to serve.

God Bless,
Olga DeLuna
