Q: My district does not currently have a Girls Ministries director, therefore, we do not have district Girls Ministries events. What can I do to stay connected and up-to-date on the latest happenings in Girls Ministries?
A: If your district does not currently have a Girls Ministries director or does not conduct district events, we suggestion joining the NGM Forum to connect with other local club leaders across the country. You will glean from other’s ideas and experiences. Simply go to: forums.ag.org/ngm to join. A second suggestion would be to subscribe to Leader’s Connection, the National Girls Ministries electronic newsletter. The newsletter will keep you informed about the latest updates, changes, or national events.
Q: Are there plans to replace the existing flag? What name should we use when reciting the pledge to the flag?
A: The existing flag will not be replaced at this time. When reciting the flag substitute the name “Missionettes” with “Girls Ministries.” Example: I pledge allegiance to the Girls Ministries flag…
Q: Can the Stars review be broken up into three sections and given at the end of each year?
A: The Stars, Friends, and Girls Only Reviews are comprehensive and should be administered at the end of a girl’s time in each club. Practices quizzes are available on the Girls Ministries Web site (ngn.ag.org) and can be used to quiz the girls at the end of each year or as a practice prior to the final review.
Q: Is there any other training I can take beyond the Missionettes Leader Training Guide (name will be updated at reprint)?
A: The national Girls Ministries Department offers the Missionettes (name to be updated) Leadership Development Units — Bronze, Silver, and Gold as additional training for leaders. Visit http://ngm.ag.org/impact/mgcresources/coordinators/ to review these resources.
Q: When will a CD with the new club songs be available?
A: The new songs will be released on CD in June with the new Girls Ministries catalog. Currently they can be downloaded for free from the NGM website.
