Souper Wednesdays
Ginger Cunningham, a sectional representative who is also a coordinator at First Assembly of God in Twin Falls, Idaho, recognized a need and as a result began what is now known as "Souper Wednesday."
Before Girls Clubs and Royal Rangers meetings on Wednesdays, dinner is served to anyone who wants or needs to eat. God began to supply the needs before they even knew there was a need when someone donated $270 to purchase milk and food. Over 1,000 meals were served between March and December 2000 with an expenditure of only $182.
A couple of restaurants in town donate two gallons of soup every month and other individuals donate meals to feed the kids. Ginger stated that Souper Wednesday will continue as long as there is a need and willing volunteers with the desire to share the love of our Savior with their community. Praise God for visionaries like Ginger!
