National Girls Ministries director appointed
The Assemblies of God National Leadership and Resource Center is excited to announce Mandy Groot as the AG National Girls Ministries Director.
Mandy currently serves as the Ohio AG District Girls Ministries Director, a position held since February 2009. During that time she has invested in creating a strong foundation for gender-specific ministry to girls through developing and empowering leaders throughout the Ohio Ministry Network. Her time in district leadership has given her a firsthand look at the needs of the local church for Pentecostal resources that are relevant to today's girl.
Her influence reaches beyond her district as she has been a steady and upbeat voice within the community of District Girls Ministries Directors. Mandy was invited to serve on the NGM Task Force in 2012, a position that allowed her to provide ministry insights to both the former NGM Director and Senior Director of Children's Ministries.
Tom and Mandy have been happily married for eighteen years and are blessed with three incredible boys: Micah, age eight; Levi, age seven; and Noah, age four. Mandy will begin filling the role of AG National Girls Ministries Director in January 2015 when she and the family relocate to Springfield, Missouri.
Mandy's investment in leadership development, vision to church leaders, and ongoing training opportunities will play a key role in the outcomes-based, cradle-to-grave discipleship strategy of the Assemblies of God. Every young girl needs a role model who will journey with her through the ages and stages of life -someone who is a living example of God's love and grace in their own life. This is accomplished as leaders continue to grow in their own relationship and allow His love to overflow into the lives of those they come in contact with.
The future of National Girls Ministries is bright as we follow the leading of the Holy Spirit to provide resources to help churches reach girls in their community.
