NGM Sponsor Guides now on CD!
National Girls Ministries, well-known for its ministry to girls ages 3
through 18 with their Mpact Girls Clubs and Teen Girl Ministries Clubs,
has recently released CD-ROMs, each featuring one of the seven girls
clubs Sponsor (leader) Guides.
According to Candy Tolbert, national director of Girls Ministries, the CD-ROMs contain all the materials of the print version — and more. The CD versions have been updated to reflect the new Girls Ministries emphasis, the units include thumbnails of each lesson's activity page, the pledges and songs have been added, the Friends
and Girls Only CDs now include all 24 units and additional unique updates have been done to each guide.
"For years, one of the most frustrating things for leaders was losing or misplacing a page or unit of their Sponsor Guide, but not realizing it until the last moment," Tolbert says. "Now, that frustration is a thing of the past. The Sponsor Guide CD-ROMs give leaders immediate access to all the materials they need with a few clicks of a mouse."
However, Tolbert adds, the new CDs are just the beginning of the new offerings from Girls Ministries. In addition to having the convenience of the Sponsor Guides on CD-ROM, club leaders will now find a wide variety of reproducible pages on the national Girls Ministries Web site that are free to download and print out.
"Now, even if you forget your Sponsor Guide CD at home, you can still access many reproducible support pages from our Web site,"Tolbert says.
Free downloadables include guide-specific items such as Take-Home Pages (Rainbows through Stars) and the Unit/Lesson Planning Guide for each club. In addition, there are general pages also included, such as Parental Consent form, Visitor Information form, Sleepover Planning Guide, Permission Slip and others.
"Our desire is to support our Girls Ministries clubs coordinators and sponsors in such a way that their lesson preparation time isn't full of stress," Tolbert says, "so their time and energy can be focused more on developing relationships and introducing girls to Christ."
